“What a wonderful picturesque location Pat del Colmel winery has, simply a postcard photo from every angle showcasing the fine beauty of the Asolo DOCG region – a shining pearl. I’m just sorry that a few hours stay was simply just not long enough!” Christopher Walkey

Pat del Colmel is a perfect family grower label, all hands to the pump, simple processes built on years of experience and producing unique wines that perfectly express the families commitment to the industry and the characters that the terroir and vines produce. The winery is currently run by Matteo, Lino and Gabriella with the family also open to the public for wine tourism with food served at their venue also.

Matteo and Lino

Their wines offer a great introduction to the region of Asolo and I put this down to the wonderful vineyards this family holds, perfection in placement and absorbing the best from nature to produce the grapes each year to supply a range of 15 wines that includes three Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG, (My reviews of the wines can be seen on Vivino). As I took a tour of the immediate vineyards surrounding the family estate you can see just how well maintained the vines are and the quality of grapes they are producing though you also appreciate the work that must go in to this as what I was seeing certainly required all year long manual pruning and harvesting due to steepness of the slopes they were growing on.

The winery owns in total 15 hectares of vines and have been producing their own wines since 2003 with a total production now of 85,000 bottles with also an amount of grapes along with bulk wines sold to third party.
