It seems the Prosecco craze isn’t about to die down anytime soon, with sales expected to rise over the coming years.

Imports of all sparkling wines, including Champagne, Prosecco and Cava, are estimated to rise 18.8% by 2020, according to the Financial Times.

That would be an increase from 12.8 million cases a year to 15.2 million.

While Prosecco has taken root in many foreign markets, it’s here in the UK that the desire for Prosecco is expected to grow the fastest. We are currently Prosecco’s largest export market with Germany coming in second.

It’s also expected that sales of low priced bubbly are set to fall, as consumers are willing to pay for a better quality wine.
