Collalto Prosecco, Historic Producers from Treviso

Azienda Agricola Conte Collalto is one of the most historic and prestigious producers in the Province of Treviso, a leading family in the history as far back as 958 AD. Collalto sources its grapes exclusively from its own estate vineyards, producing an unmistakable elegant, confident and delicious wine.

Collalto possesses a profound understanding of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, the standard-bearer of its wine production, which it actually makes in five different styles: still, lightly sparkling, brut, extra dry, and vintage-dated dry.

The winery is directed today by Princess Isabella Collalto de Croÿ, eldest daughter of Prince Manfredo Collalto and she is passionately committed to improving and developing the full potential of the Collalto estate and its products.

Collalto strives to achieve a wine style of admirable elegance and pronounced approachability. One of the ‘strong suites’ of the winery has always been the varieties grouped under the term Incrocio Manzoni. These are grapes created during the 1920s and 1930s.

In the early 1990s, Collalto decided to introduce three wines made in a common and distinctive style, which continues to this day. This unique winery style is achieved through a careful selection and blending of the most exceptional fruit from each single harvest. Vinciguerra I (Colli di Conegliano Rosso DOCG), an assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Carmenère, which join to yield a wine of forceful varietal character.
