Astley Vineyard, established 1971, is one of the oldest vineyards in the UK, which at the time of planting was the most northerly vineyard in the world.
Produced from the same Kerner vines that were planted 46 years ago, this uncommon grape variety is a man-made crossing with Riesling that has established itself extremely well on our Triassic sandstone.
Bright and steely, this vintage sparkling wine has notes of lemon sherbet, bitter almond, and sometimes a note of garden mint. A fantastic alternative to champagne, or even other classic English Sparkling Wines. Only 500 bottles of this wine are produced each year on average.
Drinks well as an aperitif, or with all the classic sparkling wine pairings.
