Congratulations to Denbies Wine Estate with their Greenfields which received a Trophy at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly awards 2017.

A panel of 36 top industry wine judges tasted all the entries for 2017 and were able to not only scores wines with medals, but also place them in to easy to understand categories such as Creamy: “A soft rounded wine, almost reminds you of biscuity / brioche in aroma and taste.”

“The attractive baked apple aromas are enhanced by an appealing toasty character. It is nicely rounded in the mouth with generous fruit and purity of flavour. The palate is satisfyingly rich and balanced by the fresh citrus flavours.”

Denbies Wine Estate I have visited and had a great tour of the winery and vineyards with Christopher White who is the general manager. Here is a grand vineyard (UK’s largest) and very focused not only on their wines, but also tourism and being seen as a local landmark by playing their part in the local community. Most of their wines are sold locally and if like me, you have visited Denbies, you will know it is a very busy set up with many visitors touring the estate as well as enjoying food and drinks and even over night accommodation and you can even enjoy your wedding day there.” Christopher Walkey
