Simple cocktails can sometimes be most rewarding in flavours and when samples of Pothecary Gin were sent to our offices then for sure we needed to set about making and tasting some Champagne cocktails!

Martin Jennings, Artisan Distiller & Co-founder of Pothecary Gin, suggested to take a look at the ‘Gin Fizz Royale‘:

  • Pothecary Gin
  • Elderflower / Early Grey tea syrup
  • Champagne (Blanc de Blancs)
  • Slither of lemon peel

Pothecary Gin:

Newcomers to the gin market, Pothecary Gin was created by two friends who share a passion for organic, handcrafted, artisan produce and a good G&T! Their contemporary process of distilling each botanical separately yields optimum quality and incomparable aromas and flavours, welcoming an exciting new gin that’s both well-balanced and refreshingly individual.

A true labour of love, the small batch artisan gin is British Blended; each botanical element is distilled separately, then blended together to create a uniquely aromatic, silky-smooth gin, with each bottle individually filled, corked and sealed by hand.

There are now several gin labels to choose from Pothecary.

Pothecary Gin tasting notes:How this gin delights me. The nose is an explosion of herbal notes with lavender and citrus shining through. Flavours are alive and kicking being herbal driven with forest floor and citrus notes. A gin worthy to drink neat or a great ingredient to express itself in a cocktail.” Christopher Walkey

Champagne Faniel et Fils Appogia tasting notes:Floral, soft citrus, touch of pastry, hint of tropical fruits on the nose. Fruity and crisp flavours, citrus and touch dry in length with rounded citrus end. Perfect for a summer day glass of fizz in the garden.” Christopher Walkey

Gin Fizz Royale tasting notes:A zesty refreshing combination, citrus flavours shine through with notes of lemon curd, pastry and a touch of herbs in the background.
