Distillery and winery Bottega is chosen to represent the Italian way of life during Italian Chairmanship of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe in 2018

Bibano, January 10th 2018. With a unanimous decision of the OSCE Participating States in 2016, Italy was elected to hold OSCE’s rotating Chairmanship for 2018. Therefore, from 1st January to 31st December 2018, Italy will coordinate the decision-making process and will set the priorities for the Organization’s activities in the field of Security and Cooperation in Europe.

To support their main events during the upcoming year, the Permanent Mission of Italy to the OSCE in Wien, has selected Bottega amongst the Italian firms which express quality and distinction and epitomize the Italian way of life. Foreign Ministers, Undersecretaries, Ambassadors, Senior Officials and leading figures in international economic-political-social life and civil society will attend these conferences and social events, including the OSCE Charity Ball of 2018.

Bottega will supply its brut sparkling white Venezia DOC wine “Peace for the World”, whose bottle features the profile of a white dove on the label. “Peace for the World” is one of the three products that Bottega created to raise proceedings to donate to the Municipality of Hiroshima, as part of the larger non-profit charity project called “Spirit of Peace”: an art exhibition whose aim is to remember the horrific bomb strike, in hope to exorcise the fear of atomic wars, and to raise awareness on peace, the most important asset for mankind. Indeed, since its establishment in 1977, Bottega advocates Social Responsibility towards the environment and the community. Sensitive to global social issues, from time to time Bottega has created themed bottles to mark or celebrate events that have left a deep trace in the history of mankind.

The opening ceremony of the Italian OSCE chairmanship will take place on Thursday, 11th January at 7 p.m. at Weltmuseum Wien.
